OK, I have to change my mind. I put the smaller are pieces onto the buds and the bass came alive. Not sure why but if I don't have them far enough into my ears I don't get the bass. These things rock now! If you are having problems with yours try putting them deeper in your ear. It makes a huge difference.

Glad you got them working properly. I remember reading a review before on Circuit City's site and someone suggested the same thing to someone else, to make sure they have them farther in their ears.

Another vote for JVC marshmallows, 20 bucks a Wall-Mart, and 80 mile and hour tested and approved by yours truly.

For the bagger riders that can't read, 1of2 said he already has a bagger.

Of course the bagger riders that can't read won't be able to read this but just saying...

I thought that might be your issue, they definitely don't sit in the edge of the ear like regular ear buds, they have to be inserted kinda like ear plugs. Glad it worked out for ya....

Like anything else, there is a reason why some love a product and some don't. But with ear buds the biggest thing is how they fit, can you imagine how many different ear shapes there are out there? If they don't fit right and seal you'll lose most of the bass. I've tried some $100 ones that sounded horrible in my ears. Currently I'm using $7 Philips models and they work pretty good. (I have J&M speakers in my helmet, so I don't need anything for on the bike) The quality of the drivers is a lot of the sound, but fit is probably more important then anything.
