Thumbs up Rolling Thunder vids and pics

Hi Guys,

Had a great time this past weekend going to Rolling Thunder and doing the ride to the wall. A solemn and fun day packed with a lot of sights and a lot of emotions. I took some video and a lot of pictures.

Just wanted to share the experience, and I hadn't seen a thread about it yet.

Pardon that second video, the lady isn't the most skilled with the camera

B-52 did a flyover:

One of the more interesting bikes:

And my lady with the scruffy buffalo bike:

Nothin' like 500,000 bikes in a single parking lot.

Was there too and had a great time. The Marine behind the Lincoln memorial and the POW in the bamboo cage always get a response from me. Went to patriot HD this year and had a good time there as well as HD of Washington (formerly Ft. Washington HD). Lots of nice bike and a respectful crowd. We stayed in Oxon Hill Md and the crowd at the hotel was maybe 10% of last years. Maybe they got new hotels but the crowd seemed slim to me.

Ride safe

Bubba

Hey Bubba,

I was at Patriot HD on Saturday, and was going to do their "Ride of the Patriots" to the Pentagon staging area. Instead, I tagged along with the national chapter with a buddy of mine. My girlfriend lives in Crystal City, and it seems that's where everyone stayed this year. My buddy was out at Fort Washington on Saturday, though. He said that was a great time.

Yeah, our plan was to be way up front this year... I was ready to ride at 6:30. My buddy got pretty torn up the night before and didn't wake up til about 7:00 though, so we found ourselves pretty far back.

Not too bad, though!

It is just what it says it is "Rolling Thunder". The ground shakes and all you hear is the sound of motorcycles. I, too, was there on Sunday.
