I can't really complain about it, they gave me a loan without a cosigner on a used sporty with only 1k down. It's my first loan (other than my cc) that I haven't needed a cosigner due to my lack of credit history.
When I bought my bike a week ago they were charging me $12,600 for 09 Iron with 12.99%. I just walked out, and bought the bike somewhere else. My credit union gave me a 5.75% rate.
Harley financing will cover everything bought at time of purchase, accesories, boots, leathers, extended warrenties, etc, and it is offered for longer terms than traditional banks, so it is easy for alot of folks.
10%, 12%, 14% or more for 72 or 84 months for leathers and boots. That is insane. It's amazing that a year later people are wondering why they're $7,000 upside down on their "bike".
Boots and leathers don't hold their value like they used to I guess. Especially when you finance them for 84 months.
My interest rate is up there but I'll have my bike paid off by this fall. Less than a year after I bought it. I'm of the same school of OldFenderGuy. Avoid credit if you can. If you can't, pay it off fast.

+1 on that.. I always send in an extra 100.00 on every payment. I'll have it paid for in just under 2 years.
