Default Bee Stings

They suck! I am out scootin' yesterday and I had head on collision with one. It must have been on steriods, because after it hit my face instead of bouncing off it got wedged in between my helmet strap and started wriggling around. Eventually it crawled into my ear. I had to make an emergency stop to get that sucker off of me. This morning I get up and I look like Martin Short in that movie he did with John Candy. The damn thing stung me right next to my right eye too.

I was driving over a local dam one day and noticed a dark cloud approacing from the right. I drove right into a swarm of bees. That was one day I was glad to be in my cage and not on the bike.

Man that really sucks. When I was in the service I was driving from Key West to Miami, going over the seven mile bridge. At that time it was 4 lanes two each way not dived. A friend of mine was in front of me wearing sport shorts. All of a sudden he started swerving, slammed on his brakes and jumped off his bike. He then proceeded to pull his shorts off in the middle of the bridge. A bee had flown up his shorts and strung him you know where. I all most fell down laughing so hard. George

I cant imagine wearing shorts on a bike.

I feel sorry for those folks who are really affected by bee stings.

I think I hold the record for stings in one season while riding........8

4 in the face(3 cheek and forehead, 1 lip), 2 chest, 1 arm, 1 back of the neck. The back of the neck hit my chest went inside my collar to the back of my neck then stung me. Drove the last four miles to my buddies house with this sucker in my neck before He got him out of me. That one hurt worst of all. That was 17 years ago and I havn't been hit again.

You need to keep some benedril or bee antidote on your bike at all times. No joke, my buddy damn near died like that when stung while fishing 20 miles off shore.

It's an antihistamine, and will help minimize the severity of the allergic reaction. It's a good thing to carry in every first-aid kit
