Last summer I hit a bee while going 60mph. Damn near knocked me off the bike. It got wedged between my temple and my helmet. I didn't get stung, but now I have a full face helmet.

Amonia will take the sting out of bee and jelly fish stings. Although as in your case, I wouldn't use it on my face. I also would never take medical advise from a forum.

I don't think that people that wear shorts on a bike have ever see a bad case of road rash.

if you can put some clorox bleach on quickly it will draw the poison out and minimize the sting...works on ant bites too

I was just cruising down a small two lane road a couple of years ago and had a wasp or hornet of some kind go down my collar. I thought it was a leaf or something at first, then I felt it crawling around and I started swatting at it. Bad move. That's when it started stinging me. I pulled over to the side of the road real quick and ended up stripped to the waist to get the thing out. Would you believe the the flew off unharmed after all that swatting and hurried stripping off of clothes???? [:@]

I had a bee hit me last summer while riding. It bounced and landed in my shirt. It got lodged in my bra and stung me you know where. OUCH!

Hit a swarm of bees last weekend. Heard a couple dozen hit
the top of my helmet. I was very thankful for a
windshield and full faced helmet...no stings.

Hubby was right behind with no windshield
no stings but he said he sure felt the swarm.

Take benedryl anyway, it will help with the swelling.
Daughters boyfriend was allergic to something when we were on a trip
face swelled up like a basketball. After 3 hours in the emergancy room
we were sent to the grocery store to get benedryl.

Had one of those big red wasp flew into the full face helmet I was wearing. Got jammed right under the right ear. I don't know what made me do it, but I raised my chin and cocked my head add the wind blew the dang thing out before he stung me.

I ride with a windshield now.

The red and white benydral tablets are the ones to keep. They don't have any decongestant in them. They are safe enough the vet allows us to give them to our dog.

It is the third time this past year I have been stung. I figure it is part of the deal. But damn this one was huge. Luckily the swelling goes down in about two - three days. I ride without a windshield, not a big fan of them. I figure if I have a windshield I may as well be in a car.
