Does anyone know if Zanotti's will give the 20% discount for walk in business? Thanks-

 

I think it is only for mail orders. I'm pretty sure the same goes for all of the "discount" online dealers. Doesn't apply to "walk in's".

 

No. But you can order online and then pick up in person. But they'll give you the run around about the shipping cost. Last time I did just that and they gave me some free chrome polish to off-set the shipping.

 

I notice you're in Gettysburg - that's quite a long way from Zanottis (Butler, which is North of Pittsburgh...) FWIW - it's actually a small shop, not worth going out of your way to see in person. Having said that, they're a great shop to do business with.

 

i would think that if you order online and then go pick it up in person that you would be hit with sales tax as well.

i guess that wouldn't matter if you were having it shipped to a pa address anyway.

I live near Chicago and bought my latest bike from Chicago HD. They do 20% mail order discount and 20% walk-in for those that have bought bikes from them. However, they never seem to stock much of anything that's worth going to shop for. And since Cook county has a nearly 10% sales tax, it's a waste of time buying from them if you're an IL citizen. So I buy from Zanotti's where I pay no sales tax, get about a 22% discount, and great service.

Chicago HD gives great service, just not a deal for us in IL.

 

I went to Zanotti's last month with a friend who was buying local. Friendly staff. Didn't get a discount. I've bought several items online and couldn't beat the price elsewhere.
