Minnesota Weekend Deaths.
Hello, all. Just saw on the online newspaper that there have already been 11 traffic fatalities since Saturday for Memorial Weekend. Three of which were motorcyclist. Looks like one motorcyclist got rear-ended and the other two looks like a Honda Civic crossed over the line, hit them head on, and then got pounded by the car behind the Honda. Hate to hear this stuff. Here's a tidbit from the article:

We went over into Sconi for the day yesterday. About 4:00, received a call, 11 of the Ol' Timers MC involved in an accident on 169, coming back from up north.
Left lane (4 lane), elderly lady in a cage, blasted the brakes.................duck standing on the shoulder.
6 went down. John, Prez, is still in the hospital in coma. One with broken ankle, couple with broken arms, couple with rib damage.
We had a 'decent' run, but stuck to back roads. Get out on the main thoroughfares, INSANITY. People passing with double yellow lines, cagers running stop signs at 20+, THEY WERE ALL out this weekend.

Went to the Citys on Friday and 94 west bound from just out of Rogers to the I494/694 interchange and beyond was bumper to bumper with cars, trks, bikes, campers, this was at 4:30pm,looked like speeds were from stand still to around 20-30mph....Made the trip into the citys feel like a picknik for the Twins game....

I will pray for those who have passed and that those who have not, I will also impart some wisdom that someone told me some 40 years ago. "Ride like everyone is out to get you, because the bastages are"

Its crazy out there
I guy I know went down on Saturday in Elk River. A 19 year old cager decided he wanted to pull a U turn all of a sudden. He jams the brakes and my buddy swerved to miss him but the back of the bike hit the rear corner of the car. The good news is he was wearing a helmet, the bad news is it he went down hard, broke his femur in 3 places + road rash. Is this the worst place to ride or what? It never fails on holiday weekends, everyone is in such a hurry to go nowhere.
