AC Breather bolt question

AC Breather bolt question
I took my AC apart and am curious as to what the white "stuff" is on the threads for the breather bolts (that screw into the cylinder blocks).
Is it an anti-seize? Threadlock? I need to put some more (of whatever it is) back on
Seems red threadlock is on pretty much every other AC bolt.
Thanks!

That residue should be blue loctite. What I was taught a long time back was that if you never plan on taking it off again or if it fell off bad crap would happen--then use red loctite. If you want it to stay till you need it off sometime soon --blue loctite. If you may want it off in the future but the torque specs are real high--anti-seize. The last tidbit is that if it is a plug holding back fluids--use a non hardening thread sealer [loctite makes one]and never over torque.

Thanks for the info. Blue loctite it is.
The residue on the breather bolts was definitely white. So if I put the blue on there it should be good?

when you buy bolts (such as in a kit) from the dealer, the goop on the threads is white. probably sompe proprietary super secret formula that they use. or more likely, since it comes from china, their counterfeit version.
