Default Had a Laugh with an LEO.

Today was such a beautiful day and driving toward my plant building (work) I realized I'd have time for a nice ride within my 1/2 hour lunch. So I pulled my work cage next to my bike and jumped on and took off. It felt so good. Pulling into a small town (my hometown) I noticed a LEO watching the traffic light so I cruised on by, one hand on my throttle, the other on my thigh just smiling. (life is good when riding). I went up a few streets, around the block and pulled up along side him at the light. A couple cars lined up behind me as I sat idling. Hhhmm, I realized my bike wasn't going to trigger the light so I crept forward giving it a little throttle. I'm sure it rattled his teeth as he wasn't but 5-6 ft to my right at the end of my pipes. I noticed him pulling forward and towards me and then reverse.

I looked over at him and smiled saying, "you triggering the light for me? "

He smiled back and said, it's a beautiful bike and I shouldn't be sitting at a light.

I laughed, thanked him and gave him the throttle as I roared away.

Back to work though and then I made the most of my ride home.

Too bad you didn't get a ticket for rattling his teeth.

Poorguy you had a good day then.

Around my area there are many lights I have trouble getting to turn for me. I was actually thinking of buying one of those devices to hang under the bike, then I heard about putting the jiffystand down on the groove for the wire and danged if that doesn't work out like a champ for me.

But, you had a good day.

I was on a ride with about 60 other bikes. About half the group got stuck at a light making a left turn. You would think that that would have tripped the light in the turn lane but no. It stayed red while the other light turned green. We were all like WTF? Then here comes Johnny Law to save the day. Hits the siren and lights to stop traffic in its path and waves us through the light.
