Default Armour or no armour......Poll

So I find so many post on this site about wearing armour & an unbelievable amout of mishaps, accidents & problems that I don't find in the real world. If the ratio of accidents posted here, I mean only accidents on Harleys not street bikes, are the same where you live, no one would be riding.

Also, I ride a lot but rarely see riders on Harleys in body armour. I usually wear leathers when it's cold but jeans, vest & a tee shirt most of the riding season. Fingerless gloves all summer & good boots. Half helmet too. I have a pair of diamond gusset defenders that I use too but that's about it.

This has nothing to do with helmets but we will assume that if your option 4, we know it's a full helmet of some sort.

1: Don't need any protection at all
2: Ride in general clothes, vest or just reinforced jeans
3: Ride with leathers or equal all season
4: I'm a full fledged Power Ranger

It doesn't matter to me what anyone choses to wear but I'm just curious to see if the posters on this site are different then the perception I have in my daily riding.

I wear helmet, leather jacket, gloves almost all the time. A friend of mine who used to race motorcycles convinced me to always wear protective gear.

I wear leather, be it a vest or jacket , gloves and I wear a H-D FXRG jacket during the early spring months too. I always wear a helmet, modular and 3/4 lid too, and always wear jeans and a t-shirt. You wont see my ride around with flip flops and shorts with Hollywood sades on!

Fox Creek leather jacket and gloves, helmet, leather lined riding jeans with knee armor, Chippewa riding boots. Leather is your best friend if you like your skin.

I tried riding in armor once, but it tends to rust if you get caught in a rain storm. Also the visor on the helmet kept flipping down and making it hard to see. We don't even want to talk about how hard it is to ride with a jousting lance and shield.

Funny stuff, I knew I should have had 5 options!

C'mon, I know there are some Rangers on this site, VOTE!

I think a full face modular helmet should go with option 4.

I wear a helmet (not by choice!) and always gloves. Very thin ones in the summer, tho.
