Sorry if I mentioned this before.
I don't even like to wear a helmet but it's the law where I live.
But I was so glad I had it on when I had my accident back in January. My head hit the car hard. I'm sure if I didn't have on the helmet, I would have had some type of head injury.
I still just wear regular clothes when I ride. On hot days it's jeans and a tee shirt. The least restraining the better. I just hope I'm not sorry someday.

I'm a 50%er, I wear a 3/4 helmet, leather gloves, and when its hot, I wear a Levi Jacket or the HD mesh one. Boots in the winter, running shoes when its hot. I don't own a leather jacket or vest. I wear a nylon filled jacket similar to a police jacket. It is lightweight and the outer fabric is very tough.
I can always grow new skin. But, in most any crash, the first thing to hit is your hands, followed by your head. In my recent crash in 1994, my helmet and my gloves did their job, and my outer clothes did just fine. My .02 worth.

Lets see...DooRag, Sleeveless T-shirt when it's warm, Levi 517's, and boots. When the good Lord calls me home it doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing, I'm gone.

I voted #2 but I have about 3300 miles under my belt so I don't know any better. (Well I guess I DO know better but I wont admit it).

Put my vote in - I wear Dianese full leathers with armour in knees, thighs, shins, elbows, shoulders etc. I also wear an armadillo style spine protector and full face helmet.
Always have done, when riding fast japanese stuff and just carried on when I moved to Harleys 10 years ago. I ride faster that way (or, more accurately, probably I'd ride slower without)
It's my choice.
