I've had one friend, who isn't so much a friend as a co-worker sit on my bike while I was inside. Of course, he set off the alarm, and I came running out because my pager was going off. I don't think he'll do it again. It kind of bugged me, but it isn't a big enough deal to lose a friend over.

I know it's just a bike and that insurance will take care of everything.

But still. It's mine. I have no problem if I'm asked. But don't just assume that because you know me you can sit on my bike, use my lawnmower, borrow tools, come into my house, or otherwise touch anything of mine without asking or being asked to do so. It's called respect. I don't do those things to others, and I expect the same courtesy.

Friends? Never had a friend sit on my bike without asking. Never had a stranger sit on my bike without asking. Can't relate to the original post.

No one that I know has EVER sat on my bike without asking my permission. Someone I didn't know did once many years ago. I doubt he ever sat on any one else's after that without asking.

A true friend would already know how I felt about it... and wouldn't disrespect me by flopping his a** on my ride...

I've had to excuse a friend or two who just don't get it. Same guys who think a fart is funny in a cage.
