I have no problem with my buddies sitting on my bike, but I'd **** on any of my friends (read 'just people I know really well') messing with my stuff with out asking first.

Default Kill them

It's the only answer, obviously.

Or you could try saying something like this, "Hey, buddy. Get the **** off my bike. Thanks."

Just sitting on your bike? If this is a big deal, I feel sorry for you.

First, my Friends and I mean my "real friends" would never sit on my ride let alone ask if they could. My Friends know what my bike means to me, so if someone who sees them self as a friend ever sat on my bike I would tell them to get off as politely as possible. As for kids on it I remember a story of a guy who just parked his bike and some kids started to get on. The parents said nothing until one little tike grabbed a hand full of hot exhaust pipe. The kids and the parents got the message DON'T TOUCH in a big hurry..

To some people their bike is transportation- or a toy, like a jet ski or a snowmobile.

To others it's more like a cherry 1969 Chevelle SS 396.

This is why you get two different opinions on the matter.

I stopped at a friends house earlier today. As soon as I got off he jumped on. The fact he is sitting on my bike doesn't bother the least. But I don't like it if it's without asking first. But why fuss about it unless there is a serious chance something will get broke. Before I left he even took it for a ride up the road and back... gasp It's all good if I trust you

I always ask first...it's common courtesy which is very lacking in today's society but if a friend of mine got on my bike without asking, as long as he didn't dump it, seriously, what's the foul?

I'd find it rude but I sure as hell wouldn't sound like a pompous *** and confront them and chance A, looking like a pompous *** and B., losing a friend.
