what Octane Gas do you use?
My manual calls for 92 octane for my 05 RD King with Stage 1 and SE slipons. I've only put in 4 tankfulls so far of 92 octane or higher. Only had the bike on the road a month.
With the way gas prices are I was thinking of trying a lower octane. We have 87, 89, 92 and 94 up here in Canada.
Which do you run and is there possible damage to be done to a motor running lower Octane?

Nothing but 93 in mine, but the most the difference is, between 87 and 93 is $.20 per gal. So Iam only talking about a buck more for a completely empty tank.

I run only 91 octane. The book says I can run 87 in a pinch but not forever. In the midwest last June, I found some 93 but didn't see any difference. Also, did one tank of 15% ethanol, again with no noticible difference.
Long ago, when 100 octane was the premium grade, you could tell the difference between brands. I wouldn't use Texaco or Richfield (now ARCO). Shell was the premier brand for anything Harley.
