Did about 20,000 miles last year and ran 87 to 93...noticed not a bit of diff!!!! If the pligs aren't fouling and you are running long enough to get the motor hot....hey...it's an air/fuel explosion!!! Nuff said?

 

Don't even think 92 is available in CA , always get the premimum , believe its 91 octane .

either you've got a peanut tank or your getting gas cheaper than the rest of us , a fill up for my Deuce with one gal already in the tank is right at $14 .

I use BP Ultmate 98 octane in mine. It's about 10cents a litre more, i can't tell you if it's any different but like most stuff I use it coz it makes me feel better...........ahhhh.

 

The lowest Octane rating here is 92 (UK) and thats at $1.80 per litre

 

definitly stick with 92 it's worth the difference and fortunately it's only 5 gallons at a time! (or does canada do liters?) Michael

 

I stick with a good name brand in my area I like to use Shell V power 93 or Sunoco Ultra 94

 

93 octance here... pretty standard rating in NC.

I also try to always put Amaco/BP in the tank. A long time ago someone had told me that Amaco was one of the few gas companies that actually requires that the service stations "re-qualify" the gas in their tanks. Basically they are supposed to test it to make sure no leaks or water or whatever is in there...

A couple of months ago I was putting the warehouse brand 92 Octane in the bike and it was pushing black smoke out the tailpipes... Went back to BP and have not had that problem since.

 

I can get either 87 or 89 but the 89 is ethonal so I don't use it that much just a few times here or there, my dad puts ethonal in his EG but I don't like to. he sells gas and diesel for a living and says it won't hurt anything so he does it but I'm still a little leery [&:]

 

I use Sunoco Ultra 94 when I fill up in town and the highest I can find when on the road. While touring eastern Kentucky last year, 110 octane moonshine was the only thing I could find. After filling up, I couldn't find anything[sm=alcoholic.gif]

I only use 91. Once I used 87 once because they was out of 91.
