One that I plan to use in Canada if needed.

Mountie: Do you know how fast you were going?

Me: Well I wasn't going as fast as the speed limit I know that. I don't like to go 100. What do you mean it's kilometers per hour?

Not an excuse post but a cop one still. In college my roommate and I went to KrispyKreme one night, there is a Domino's pizza right around the corner from there. Well as soon as we were about to turn into KK the Domino's had just been robbed and the call had gone out. We had to stop in the middle of the road to let the parking lot of the KrispyKreme empty out, cause that's where all the cops were. To summarize, if you are going to rob a store, make sure it's more than a 1/4 mile away from a KK.

I know a man thats in his 80's and was pulled over for a turn signal violation, and was asked do you know why I pulled you over?

This is a no shittier!

He said to the officer...Beacuce your lonely? The Cop laughed and told him to be careful

Don't give a cop any excuse to pull you over.

I would have to say ditto to Ironhand. Seems that when I am more than prepared and had it all over, I seem to just get a warning. My wife can't believe how many times I have gotten off the hook. She has joked around with me that she was going to set the officer straight next time I get nabbed.

I have been pulled over several times & have never made any excuses. I also have never had a ticket. My ex did start the academy at the San Bernardino Sherrifs Dept. & has always gotten out of tickets by chit chatting w/ the officer about it.

I used to work for the Secret Service.... I would pull out my license and add my Secret Service ID for "verification" purposes...

I would get them right back with a "thank you sir, and have a nice evening."

I am a Special Agent for a federal law enforcement agency. Showing our credentials to other law enforcment officers for purposes like this is called "badging" and is one of three actions that will get us instantly terminated.
