Default Water in horn

Any tips on how to prevent water from getting into the horn? Seems my bike is susceptible to getting water in it more than most. I just dried it out and it works this time, previously had to replace the horn. I have tilted the bottom towards the back as far as I can in hopes that will help. Any other tips would be appreciated.

Quit squirting water into it. That should help.

Give your horn a good ******* (with an air compressor)... And of course, quit squirting water inside

Didn't know HD made a submersible. I have no clue how to stop that--I haven't had that problem.

Avoid puddles that are more than 2' deep.

In 40 years of owning Harleys I never had this problem until my 07. Happens when I ride in the rain and when I wash the bike. It eventually dries out but I have not tried to figure out a solution because I never use my horn anyway, except to check it out or to say "hi" to the cows along side the back roads.

Duct tape over the opening usually keeps the water out.

Of course, it usually keeps the sound in, too.

Put a zip lock bag over it when you wash it. Normal riding shouldn't cause any problem.

Get your self one of those monster air horns that I often see on ultras then you can blow it out on the fly.
