a layer of duct tape about 3 inches thick would proly do pretty good ina crash[seriously]

 

I do believe that you are supposed to get a new helmet every 3-5 years depending on the helmet and how much you wear it. All I know is mine is 4 years this year and I'll replace it after this fall.

True or not, I'm not going to trust my melon to a helmet that should have been replaced. $150 every 4 years is cheaper than a head injury.

I had a Bell that was hanging in the garage for about 20 years. The foam inside turned to dust. Time to retire it.
