Has anyone tried the WindVest windshield?

RE: Has anyone tried the WindVest windshield?
I also Have a very customized roadstar that I just put a WINDVEST on. It looks really nice and does a very good job of deflecting the majority of the wind from pounding on you. Now how it will look on a really bulky bike I don't know. My star is very Very Very customized and has a raked neck and stuff so it not that bulky. But the windvest works great.

I own a Deuce. I didn't think that any windshield would look "right" on a Deuce until I saw a photo of a very nice custom Deuce (Voo Doo's) here on the forum. That convinced me to give the Wind Vest a try.
The Wind Vest is very well made and the quality is evident - nice chrome mounting hardware. The Wind Vest is not necessarily a windshield. Its more of a means to re-route the wind around your head and chest and reduce wind pressure from those two areas. In that it succeeds. but a lot of wind still manages to come up from your legs and arms. It just reduces that constant force of pressure pushing against your head and chest, especially when cruising at highway speeds. VooDoo described it the best when he told me that he can now ride instead of simply hold on when on the highway. Its definately less fatiquing.
I like the Wind Vest. Mine is "clear" rather than tinted, which means that its not very noticable when mounted on the bike.
Hope this answers some of your questions.

Lots of good info there Jezcruzen.
I'm still playing with getting mine comfy.
I have a Nostalgic King size windshield now and flexes pretty good
at 70 - 75 mph. I look through it and can see the destortion.
Will probably have a couple of windshilds for different riding scenerios.
Like the quick release so I can put it in my room if I'm wanting a cleaner
look.
Hubby is also looking for his VTX. That bike has a huge front end
it might look funny, but he's a fan of no windshield and I thought
this might work out for him. After the 350 miles we did last weekend
he figures he needs something (sore neck from full face helmet lift
and buffeting).
