Default VA to Havasu Falls, AZ: first long trip

Hey all, been riding REAL long days on the Nighty and decided to take a multiple day trip to Grand Canyon/Havasu falls with a bud. My question is that since were college students, budget is kind of tight, so we wanna camp on the way there and back (its also what they did in Easy Rider, lol) But yeah, my questio is if there is any good resource on the internet or anywhere that shows good campgrounds to stay at during our trip. I want to avoid hotels as much as possible. Any help would be greatly appreicated, also any other info you can gimme would be great. Thanx guys!

Just do a google as there are sites all over. There is a site for touring called pashnit or soemthing like that which has a bunch of touring folks on it. Also when you are at the lake, you need to take short ride over to Oatman as it is the coolest place...also check out Bull Head City...

My neighbor does a lot of touring and likes the KOA campgrounds. They are biker friendly and all over the country. Check out their website for locations and info. Enjoy the trip.

yeah, I don't think they checked the net for resources in Easy Rider.

j/k, that's a heck of a ride. Have fun. And KOA's are good.

Ah, Havasu Falls is near the Grand Canyon. Your thinking of Lake Havasu.

Lake Havasu is a great party town on the weekends, get someone to take you on their boat and take you to "the Sandbar" and "Copper Canyon", pure crazyness.
Also you might want some novacane for your *** if you are planning on riding a Nightster that far.
