Default Ryder Clips or Faarkens

Tired of my jeans sliding up my boots, so want to try either the Ryder Clips or Faarken Stirrups. Any pros or cons to either.

Never used either. Never have a problem with the jeans sliding up the boots, either. The solution is to borrow a trick from the western wear crowd - get the jeans 2 to 4 inches longer than your normal length. They "stack" at the boots and don't ride up.

Yup. The idea is that you buy for your inseam when you're seated, sorta, whether that's on a horse, a bike, or a desk chair

If you only wore jeans when you rode that would be great but some of us have to wear our polyester uniform pants that blow up to our knees showing off our gawdawful white legs.

Dugan I have the stirrups which are ok, every now and then they hang up on something... floorboard, shifter.., they get messy if you step in something and you have to periodically tighten them up. If you haven't bought anything yet I'd go with the clips first, which is what I should have done.

I ordered two pair of these in different sizes: http://chopperindustry.com/index.cfm...roduct_ID=2336. Boot straps similar to the Faarken, just not as fancy (only three clip styles), and they have three different lengths. Cheaper to boot. No complaints, the clips are super sturdy and stay locked, the strap itself is high-quality elastic. Shipping didn't take long, either.

I have never used any of these but... my wife is sitting here with me this morning reading these too.. She made the suggestion.. get cheap elastic hair holders and slide em up over your pants cuff.. it'll keep the wind from lifting up you pants leg. or rubber bands.

Polyester uniform pants will melt on your pipes. Try a pair of chaps.

My complaint was that they made my jeans tight at the knee.
