Default Were to get motor work done near MA RI boarder

Greetings Everybody,

I've been lurking for a while and finally joined. My question for everybody is. Where should I get my motor work done on my sportster?? I am going to have it converted to a 1200 with the screaming eagle kit and possibly a cam. I've been doing a little search by asking people. I'm looking at either Ocean State Harley or Minute Man Harley (formally Big Boar) Any help would be really appreciated. Both places are within a $100.00 for the work.

KJ

I'm in Providence, did you try Precision HD in Pawtucket? I can't say how there work is cause I do all my own. Give them a call for the heck of it, (can't hurt too bad) lol The next best thing you could do is go to the Harley web site and look up dealers closest to you. Good luck

Been to precision numerous times, had them put on my hyper charger but it took them at least 3 weeks, 3 phone calls and they wanted a day to do paper work. Along with my idle being out 1 and a half turns after they completed the work. So I'm not really impressed with the service from them. Also I was denied during the demo days a few weekends ago because I renewed my license got the temp one (still vaild). While I had to wait for my new one to come in the mail.

I have family in the area, so I visit every year or so. How about Sheldon's? Smaller and out of the way....Maybe they have a serious tech over there?

I'd avoid Ocean State like the plague. I took my bike there for the 10k mile service and to have the injectors swapped from 8* to 25* degree. Long story short, they didn't swap the injectors like they said they would and lied about everything. That was two years ago and never went back. Oh......and as an added bonus they left a couple of nice scratches on the bike.
