Default left the bike in the rain

So I just moved into a new house, and now I dont have a garage to keep my bike in....didn't even think about needing a cover until it started raining. Now its been raining for about a day straight (hard miserable rain) and while i ran up to the store and bought a cover, I dont have any time without it pouring in order to dry the bike off before i throw the cover over it.

should i be concerned with the excessive amount of water gettin on the bike? i dont want to throw the cover on a soaking wet bike...but would that be alright? i just figure it would be better to have it dry in there for long term

Let the rain stop. clean well, and then cover. I have seen bikes that get covered when wet and it sometimes is not a good picture.

I think you'll be all right. I ride mine in the rain and it doesn't melt. I believe I would wait until I could dry it before I covered it. Unless of course they are calling for hail in your area, then I'd cover it even while wet. Just try to remember and put your cover on before the rain next time.

Harleys shrink when they get wet. Mine started as a RK and now it is a Sporty.

It won't hurt your bike, just dry it well and clean it to keep Mr. Oxidation at bay.

Get a Bike Barn, they are great! mine had been through rain, dust storms up to 60 mph and still standing. I bolted it to the driveway and it works as advertised. One of the best things I have bought. Check it out.
