left the bike in the rain

Why would you buy a house without a garage when you ride? When I bought my house, the 2 car garage was the most important deciding factor.

So I just moved into a new house, and now I dont have a garage to keep my bike in....didn't even think about needing a cover until it started raining. Now its been raining for about a day straight (hard miserable rain) and while i ran up to the store and bought a cover, I dont have any time without it pouring in order to dry the bike off before i throw the cover over it.
should i be concerned with the excessive amount of water gettin on the bike? i dont want to throw the cover on a soaking wet bike...but would that be alright? i just figure it would be better to have it dry in there for long term

You know you can ride in the rain, right? So if the bike is OK doing 50 MPH in the rain, it should be ok going 0 MPH.

This I will agree with. I have ridden in the rain many times, and will do so again. Still given the option....
