Put the sofa in the driveway and cover that!
Hoodlums in the neighborhood will think it's a Honda and leave you alone while you are sitting comfortably in your living room right next to your HARLEY!

Never cover it wet,and the rain will not hurt a thing. Some seasons it rains more than the sun shines,No way the bike is staying parked.Good maintainance will taake care of things

should i be concerned with the excessive amount of water gettin on the bike? i dont want to throw the cover on a soaking wet bike...but would that be alright? i just figure it would be better to have it dry in there for long term
Water will need about 20-30 years of undisturbed action to reduce your bike to a useless status, so unless you plan to leave it parked there for a LOT of time without using it...
There is no problem leaving the bike under the rain. Did it a lot.
When it gets sunny again, wash it and wax it.

You need to go out and ride your bike till the rain stops. And stop being and fairy weather rider.

I had to stop riding this winter when icy was in my key hole. What is this rain you are crying about?
