Riding is like piecing together the puzzles of life, and really liking the answers. I'd rather ride by myself.[/quote]

That is the most profound statement i have read on this forum...ever.

Two weeks ago I had to go to a meeting in St Paul MN, from Chicago with taking the long way home a little over 900 miles in two and a half days. On the way back went at whatever pace I wanted and only stopped when I wanted to or needed fuel great trip.

The wife once told me I was the only person she has ever known who would be completely happy in solitary confinement. I just like my own company best, I guess.

Alone for us includes the wife...but no other bikes.. 90% of the time. I enjoy the time together with my son when he can get his NT out. Then its just us two..

I prefer to ride alone-- by that I mean with no other bike-- (I enjoy having my young sons onboard with me); will ride with one or two friends from time to time; never in a pack of strangers....don't trust 'em....

Cheers,
V2

95% of my riding is solo. Sometimes it is nice to have others around, but most of the time I like to do what I want when I want...thus...ride alone...

A long solo ride on a country highway on a nice summer day is a kind of Zen experience. An in the moment thing. Best "shared" with oneself.

Yea, me too always alone unless on a benefit ride or poker run. Sometimes nice to have another bike or too but can't never seem to get it together. Usually they back out at last minute because ther's a 30% chance of rain or some crap like that.
