Before I added the Cruise on my bike I got the "Throttle rocker" and it did work - only thing was it is NOT good to have around town... way to easy to "roll" the trottle when not needed... takes some getting used to - but on the open road, it was great...

Try a throttle rocker from throttlerocker.com they are $10 including shipping. Order now and you'll have it by next friday. Come on, when was the last time you only spent $10 for something for your bike? I'll bet you spent more than that on wax.
I think between squezing the throttle and the vibration all the blood runs out of my right hand. With the throttlerocker positioned just right I can rest my palm on it and not squeze at all. It fits on with a velcro strap so it is easy to remove when I'm in town. It hasn't gotten in the way yet but it the potential is definatly there.
Of course I would love to have cruise control, but I'm afraid I have to wait for the next bike.
If you have more than temporary pain see a doctor and do not look for medical advise on a message board.

I'm willing to try something different. My problem has been my middle and index fingers. They are constantly tingling now 24/7. Ah I don't care. Just one more thing to deal with.
You have carpel tunnel syndrome....see a doctor. They will give you a brace to wear at night and some stretching exercises that will help.

I love my throttle rocker. Some one stole mine off my bike last month while parked downtown. I ordered two more so now I have a spare. Great for long rides or commuting, lets you back off on your grip and flex your fingers while at speed.

I had some numbness in my right index and thumb, I tried a combination of things and now don't notice a problem.

New ISO grips with throttle boss

new gloves (my others were too tight)

repostioned handle bars, they were too far forward.

Loose everything but my little finger on a bad day , Kuryakyn ISO grips may help , don't know since they have been on since my bike was knew . Recently added the Throttle Boss , what a mistake I made two years ago , should have put that Throttle Boss on then . It works so much better that the tensioner idea plus you can accel/ decel somewhat with your hand at rest .

Can't wait to try it, anything has to help.
Throttle boss didn't work for me, always in the way from high speed highway placement to less throttle city placement. Ordered a new magnetic type cruise from Kuryakyn, not available till June. Anxious to see how that works for constant highway speeds. Highway is my problem, i can't let go and move my right hand around. Left hand never has a problem because i can use one hand on the bars (right) and let go with left and stretch. Right never gets to come off the grip so it goes numb.
Thanks for the tip
