frequency help garage door opener
I have an old, 1984, overheand door garage door opener. My Tahoe has a learning remote built in, that learned perfectly. I purchased a learning remote on ebay, LINK, it should learn frequencies from 255mhz-455mhz.
The back of my original remote says "freq 360***"(*: is a letter), I assume it is 360mhz. The opener itself has 9, 3 position, dip switches to set the frequency.
I cannot get the new remote to learn the code.
My question is, is my original remote 360mhz?

There should be instructions that came with the new remote but the link states which openers the remote works with. It's quite possible it won't work with yours. Usually there's a button on the back of the garage door opener. You push that button and a light should flash. Then you press a button on the remote that reads the frequency. The pins within the remote are to set each additional remote.

I do not have button my the opener to program remotes. I know what you are talking about, my neighbors craftsman opener has the button. Does it make since to you, 360mhz?
