Default Another Oil Thread (but not like you think)

So I bought a 2005 RKC off my father-in-law who changed to synthetic oil after he had the engine upgraded after 8000km(cams,pushrods,pistons etc). He had the oil changed every 4000KM with an independant shop. They closed up shop and I had to find another shop to do the work. I had all the fluids drained and replaced at the begining of spring and had the 32,000KM service done. I find out that they used Dino oil in all 3 holes. They use this with all their bikes and I didn't think to tell them not to as I just ASSumed they would use synthetic. I found out when I got the $9.95/L oil bill.
I still want to use synthetic.
I was reading it's not good to keep switching back and forth but dont really want to use Dino oil. Should I wait till next oil change and go back to synthetic, Wait a couple of changes then go back, or not go back at all to synthetic.

I will be doing my own wrenching with time but I'm having a hard time sleeping at nights after this. Oil change, saftey, rear brakes = $$550.00

Chop.

Run it 2 to 3 thousand miles on the dino and then change it to the syn you want. It won't hurt anything. Either that or take the dino out now and save it for your car or truck. With the small amount the filter holds I'd just leave it until the next change.

I agree, just relax and don't worry about it. Dino oil kept cars/trucks alive for 80 years before Synth came into the world. Nothing to worry about. Next oil change go back to synthetic if you like.

2-3000 mile would be about 5000 km ...you must be a Snow Bird...Switch back ]when you get ready... no problem...When i go to Canada in the winter time i switch my car oil to full Syn... then back to Dino...no worries...Same with bikes....if you ride parade a lot... syn is better but if you change your oild evry 5k KM use Dino... much cheaper... i run my full Syn about 7000 miles... mostly hwy miles....
