Default Question about Road Glide turn signals - sometimes fast, then slow

Okay, here's another weird one.

My 07 road glide, it has that brake light blinking module as I mention in the other thread, but I have a similar but possibly unrelated question.

Sometimes, my turn signals blink quite fast, other times, more of a normal speed. Say, if normal is once ever .75 seconds or so, "fast" seems to be around ever .3 seconds. Easily close to triple the speed.

I check the front and back signals, nothing is burned out, and both lights act the same way. I can't seem to determine a pattern, seems random to me. Also, sometimes it blinks fast for 5-6 blinks, then goes to normal. This only appears to happen on the left side of the bike.

Anyone seen something like this? I had wondered if it had to do with the brake light module, but where these results I am getting are inconsistent, I am not sure.

Last night to do a test, I just turned the bike on and hit the left turn signal. Went fast for about 3 seconds, then went to normal speed. Tried it again, was normal speed the whole time. Again, and it was fast, then normal.

Seems like there's gotta be a small malfunction somewhere, but I really have no clue what would be causing this.

I trickle charge it, I have a battery tender I hook up pretty much every other night.

Are you running any LEDs in the circuit that might be causing an impedance imbalance? Just a stab...

Not that I know of. At first I thought it might be a burnt out bulb, but they all work correctly.

I am guessing it has to do with the brake light flashers and maybe a little glitch in the firmware in the box?

Did you check the diagnostic codes?

I had something similar - Try this: Take out each bulb and clean the contact and apply dialectic grease. I think in my case it was just a bulb that was not seated properly and not making good contact.

The TSM or TSSM module is looking for a very specific current draw to control the turn signals. Same reason you have to use a load equalizer if you change to LEDs.
