i think most people buy a bike that think. at the time fit's there need at one time most started out on smaller bike's but thru the year's that has changed.is it better i guess it is not for me to say.i enjoyed alot of year's of differnt size bike's. but times has changed and so has the bike's.and the time's

 

My NT was my entry level bike, but I had plenty of people tell me I needed to get a Sportster first. F*ck that. Nothing against Sportsters, I do like them (Love the Nightster), But I'm a pretty big guy and wanted a Night Train. I wasn't going to spend the money on a Sportster just to be on it and wanting something else.

If it had been in my budget, I would have picked up a pewter denim street glide, and I'm 26. So no, not all baggers are for old people .

 

Entry level bike? could be any bike you feel you want to start out on.My first bike was a bagger Harley,depends on the person.Hot rodding Harleys has always been my motivation,so it was baggers at first,then choppers,SuperGlides,one Sportster,now it's big engined baggers.It's like having your cake and eating it.The best of both worlds,a Sleeper.

 

No way I would consider any Harley an entry level bike. I'm a firm believer of starting out on something really small (like a trail bike) and working your way up. Sportsters are not "girls bikes" and I know mine will rip your arms out of their sockets if you aren't paying attention. Small frame doesn't mean a thing. 1200 cc is a BIG motor.

 

Buy what suits your need. They're all good.
