Default Helmet law:did you know this?

I have a friend who was traveling through Ohio, not wearing his helmet ( Ohio does not require you to wear one ) He lives in a state that requires a helmet. Ohio state cop stops him and tells him to put his helmet on, as the state his bike is registered in requires a helmet. The no helmet law in Ohio is only good for bikes registered in Ohio. Ever herd of that?

Double bull. That stupid cop is not able to enforce laws from other states. Cop was probably trying to bait your friend into going off on him and then arrest for some other BS.

Thats B... S...,if the speed limit is 95mph in his state does that mean he can drive 95 in OHIO

I have my bike tagged in North Carolina which requires a helmet, and I've never been stopped and told to put on a helmet in a no helmet state.

Wow! So Ohio is now doing what the federal government can't even do (enforce one state's laws in the jurisdiction of another)?

Oh-Come-on...you can't do that,that would mean if you have "no helmet" law in YOUR state you can ride anywere without one....ok

So that means that those of us who live in a helmet free state are not required to wear helmets in any state
