Why do you ride with the people you ride with?

Most of my riding I do alone now since my life long riding partner passed a few years back.
The wife will come along on some weekends, and then we just take off to go see family in other states, or just some place she heard about and wanted to visit.
I do "the gig" every year the weekend before the 4th of July, with a group that started out as co-workers at a job that is long gone. But we still get together every year and spend the weekend riding all day and then drinking and catching up round the camp fire all night.
We also do one other "semi gig" each year that is to a different location each year.
One year was the Dragon , Sturgis was a couple of years, Harley's 100th, Harlhey's 105th (I didn't make that one), Vegas, Daytona, and so on.

I ride with different friends depending on where or how I want to ride. I have some friends who just like to go bar hopping or bike night, that’s ok when I feel like bar hopping or bike night. I have other friends who enjoy back roads day trips with a lunch stop and maybe a barbeque at the end of the day. I have others who I ride with for out of town overnighters. It just depends on what I feel like doing, and sometimes where I've been invited. I guess I’m lucky to have allot of friends.
