I am a first time HD buyer. (It has been a dream though for as long as I can remember).
What are the important things I should look for to make sure I get a good bike?
Please guide.
Thanks

It's a freakin moped and if you can get enough cash together to get at the least a 1200 do it as you will be underwhellmed with the 883. I rode one recently as I did a lowering kit for my friend's girl on hers and it was awsomely underpowered...

I rode a 2005 883 Custom with the Screamin Eagle. LOVED it. If it's a starter, you will be happy. And I love the paint on the 100th.

I had an '03 1200 100th. Loved it and still miss it occasionally. 2003 and older (Sportsters) have hard mounted engines and are true Milwaukee vibrators. 2004 and newer have rubber mounted engines and are much smother. Just an FYI. You will definitely notice the vibrations after a while on a long ride.
