Default 10K miles per year

I bought my 05 Dyna last May and put 5500 miles on it by January when I traded it for my 06 FLHTI. I just turned 4500 on my E Glide today...hence 10,000 miles in a year. Gotta love the AZ weather for riding. With these gas prices the "new" E Glide will be hitting 10k itself long before the end of the year. E Glide is getting 40-42 while the truck gets 18-20.

My insurance guy said something like most Harley owners put on about 3K per year. Out of curiosity what do most of you all put on per year. Sorry if this has been covered before, just wondering cause me and the guys I work and ride with ride just about everywhere all the time. Work with a guy with a Goldwing who did over 20k last year.

13k last year on my Soft tail.

4500 in 2 months on my SG...will probably end up with 15k this year being conservative.

I do 20K a year in Mass. and the weather suks! 3-4 months a year that you can't ride!
I figure that 10K a year either makes you the leader of the light weights or the light weight of the big dogs! LOL
Ride on pal!

I have done about 10,000 a year for the last 3 years. It is all pleasure riding. I have a company truck I need and cannot ride to work.

I'm continually shooting for 10K. I avg about 8500, with a high of 9200 a year. It seems its always an issue of time or money...usually being too short of money to go any true distance. This may be the year I hit 10K though. Already have 1300+ on in about 3 weeks of riding. I usually have it out from the first week of April to about Thanksgiving day.

I average 10000 miles per year, and that's in Maine. Most riding stops about half way thru December and starts up again about half way thru March. So with a 9 month riding season, that's not too bad.

Have averaged 15,000 to 20,000 miles per year since 1998, never under 15, 000 [sm=biker.gif]
