I just put the Metzelers on about 3,000 miles ago. I don't know about the mileage, yet they seem to be wearing "normally" that is no cupping or scuffing.
I would approximate I'll get 11-12K out of them.
I like the performance. I don't get pulled into the cracks in the road as much with the Metzelers as I did with the Dunlops, but then again the Dunlops were a bit worn.

Metzzler's will probably not last as long as Dunlop's due to the softness of the rubber, but keeping proper tire pressure will definitely help it last.

I got between 10,000 & 10,500 out of my first 2 rear Dunlops. I just replaced my first rear Metz 880 and it went 15,500 miles, so yea, 50% better mileage out of the Metz and it handles much better than the Dunlop and is also better on wet roads.

I always ran Avon on my choppers and drag bikes, etc. When I did wheels last year on the bagger 18x160 and 21x120 I used Avon and only got 5000 or so out of them. I went to the ME880 about 4000-5000 miles ago and they aren't even showing wear yet. I am running them at 42lbs of air by the way. The ME is known for being a great compound which doesn't grow at temp and speed also. By the way the ME will take a few burn outs as well...I mean heat cycles...yeah thats it...heat cycles...well thats what I tell the wife...heat cycles...yeah they make the tires last longer...

7600 on my Dunlops....I figure I'll get aroung 10k on the rear. It's kinda like fuel mileage...I average in the 45mpg range but I could get it down to the thirties if I wanted to!

I've never gotten less than 10,500 miles on the rear Dunlops. Last one went 13,500 before I replaced it. I think I'll stay with what works for me.

I just replaced the rear Dunlop at 13,600 miles with a Metzeler 880. I can't believe the difference in handling. I don't care if I get half the milage with the Metz, it is worth it.
