put a solo seat on it gets rid of there fears if u know whaat i mean

That might work unless she thinks your out trying to "look single" with only one seat and all. [8D] Been down that road too.

My wife hated the idea. Got real controlling for a while. I had enough of everything. (Bickerin, etc.) Told her I,m getting the bike, if she she didn't like it I'm gone. I'd continue to take care of the kids, house, etc. Pointed out that I'm a good provider, good dad, etc. I loved her but can't be roped. Well after she saw how happy I was with the sporty by golly I ended up with a Screamin' Eagle Fatty. I think we'll live happily ever after. It's all about compromise. As long as I get my way.

I'm glad it worked out for you and your wife. I told my wife I wanted to buy a Harley and she said no there to dangerous. So I bought Two one for me and helped my brother get his. Then she was mad I didn't involve her in picking the color. I said when you said no on the purchase that ended your envolvment. Now that everyone raves over the bike she has been great. But she ordered a new BMW conv. this week. I think this is the most expensive Harley on here by far. Tom
I know what you mean.......I had to buy my wife a $32,000 car & wait for two & a half years to get my bike! When I explained to her that I was only spending about half what her car cost on my bike she didn't give me any more arguement.

When I told my wife I was going to get a bike, she told me she was going to be really mad if I did. So, I asked her if she was going to be:

1) Withhold sex for a month mad.

OR

2) Divorce me and take half my stuff mad.

She said, withold sex for a month mad. So I said, heck I'm doing that now and went and bought he bike the next day.

Maybe you should take your ***** out of your wifes purse,
I told the little lady that I wanted a V-Rod longer than I have wanted her. She said that motorcycles were dangerous and didn't like the fact that I rode (I already had a sportbike). She said that my money could be better spent, I guess on her and the little girl. I told her that one way or another, I was going to own one. Well--I got her, and 11 months later I picked up my V-Rod. And she and the little one have always been well taken care of.
