Personally, I'd feel better if you'd not respond to any of my posts. I'll be glad to do likewise.

In any parking lot I park in an end space as far away from the door as possible. I shudder at the thought of all the Octomoms letting all their octuplets touch and climb on my bike. Or some kid ramming it with a buggy. If you park at the farthest point, they are too lazy to walk that far to oogle your scoot.
If you park your bike on the sidewalk, do you do the same with your car? Is it a sidepark or sidewalk, now I'm confused.

Shopping carts are your main concern as I have sat in my car and watched them roll a hundred yards and smack a car in the door with not a soul around. Always park as far uphill as you can if the parking lot is uneven.

IS the concern about people ****ing with the bike or collisions?
Collisions.

Once had a bike (not my HD) parked safely in the center of a stall. Vehicles later parked correctly in the stalls along each side. Someone must have tried to dart into my stall without paying attention. They took off after they ran into the bike.

I've also seen bikes struck when they were on their own out in the far reaches of the parking lot.

My opinion, park where you're comfortable and not in someone's way.

The idiot who buys it at WalMart. The nearest Walmart is 20 miles from me. I was there once wasn't impressed have never been back.

Sorry if this is an old topic but I couldn't find anything through the search option. Thx!

Mine is so small I just drive right up on the sidewalk and park at the door, I don't care what anyone thinks, if you have room to park a bicycle on it's side stand I can park my machine there.
