Wiley X here & they work great on cloudy days, at night time they reduce glare from on coming traffic & are good in daylight on all but very bright sunlight so I do carry dark glasses anyway.

I've been wearing the Panoptix Raptor transition for 3 years and and love them. The only weakness with them is when going directly into a rising or setting sun where they're not as strong as regular sunglasses.

Just purchased WileyX "Ink" with my single vision prescription and the transition lenses from my eye doc. Love 'em! They turn dark as sunglasses in seconds and will turn completely clear at night or indoors.

I have read many times on this forum that the transitions don't get dark enough for full sun, but that has not been my experience with my particular setup. I have ridden into direct setting sun a couple times already with no problems. Looked in the mirror to check how dark the lenses were too, and couldn't see my eyes.

Keep in mind that I have the real "transitions" product with grey plastic lenses. The grey are suppossed to get darker than the brown tint. And, the plastic lenses perform better with the transitions treatment according to my eye doc.

I got mine from H-D... about $39... they are the yellow transitionals... been wearing them for about 4 years...

For me they get dark enough... of course I never wear sunglasses except on my bike... So take it for what its worth...

I have a pair of Panoptx transitions, they are good on cloudy days but for me they don't get dark enough on bright sunny days.

I have transitions and they work great as long as I'm not in a car. The transitions change because of UV and the autoglass blocks UV so the lenses don't change.
