Sure that isn't 34401-06 Vice 34410-06?????

Cause if they gave you a TOURING Flash, that is the wrong one.... Touring and FLSTSi are the only ones that share a flash.... Due to the commonality of the exhaust systems....

I think that they gave you the incorrect Flash...

 

I wonder if they did? the invoice shows 34410-06 unless he typed it in wrong. Is there such and animal as the 34410-06???

Bob , this is a post from another forum about the 34410-06 flash, my service guy also said that a new flash just came out 03-20-06 about 4 weeks ago. Did you know about this new flash?

H-D just released the new cal updates (03-20-06) and I was just not up to date. Congrates to your guy for being on top of this, not many are. The 34410-06 cart currently shows back ordered and we do not have in stock, but a parts locator search shows several dealers have them. So long as you have the 8 degree injectors, this is your cal

 

Had the flash done on my Classic when I bought the bike. Did SERT today and bike runs much bettermay be overkill but now I can change what I want and tune for it. Dealer told me that they do a lot of SERTS.

 

SERT=Overkill, not in my book. If I listened I would have bought the sert first and ended the agony and saved about $350 dollars on a wasted download and marginal TFI unit (at least for the closed loop system). I should have listened to the experienced persons who have grinded their teeth on this issue. Got the sert and I'm dialed in for both today and tommorrow and so is the next owner if I decide to sell the bike.

 

I'm all about overkill........plus I'm having the guys at my dealer do my sert & dyno it. I can change oil with th best of them but I'm no tuner and the guys at my dealer do this stuff everyday. They said getting the sert & dynoing the bike is expensive but it's the best way to do it. I have no reason not to believe them.

 

You didn't read the whole post. You are pulling the trigger too soon.

H-D just did a no longer available on their race tuners. now saying you need the cartridge. even the digitial tech download is not available, for some of the tc's

 

My dealer had plenty of SERT's acoording to them it is not that they are no longer available they arte on backorder waiting on new version. They did tell me that some dealers had started choosing to quit doing them
