Chrome Toolbox for Deluxe

Chrome Toolbox for Deluxe
So in keeping with my retro look of my Deluxe, I am removing my leather bag located behind my front fender and replacing it with the retro chrome toolbox on the right side of my swingarm. Here's the problem: HD makes them for FLSTN's up to 2007 and not my 2008. Anyone have this toolbox on their 2008 (part number 64937-00A) and did you have to fab anything or did it just work?
If not, I'm going to have to figure out a way to fabricate something. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Unbelievable... I post a genuine question out there that will fit most 07-08 Softail's and I get nothing... yet some Astroturfer posts about some obscure dealership pumps his store and he gets 14 replies talking about how he's a troll.... you bet. Screw it, I'll go to the stealership tomorrow and find the answer...
Sorry for the rant but come on... someone that actually rides, loves our passion has a genuine question yet the majority of the replies and posts go to freaking trolls and "ever had your bike over 100"?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yep, Unbelievable. I'd write to Admin and demand they refund of your membership fee since you didn't get what you paid for. Of course there is a possibility that no one with an 08 and this tool box has read your post during the 6 hours it's been posted.
On second thought, everyone knows that the Deluxe is a girls bike and girls and tools seldom go together.

Same question was posted a couple days ago about an 09 Deluxe. Poster said he was going to buy it anyway and try to do a work a round. Maybe he'll post his results.
I'm also interested in putting one on my wife's 08 Deluxe.

Why don't you just buy one, and make it fit?
That's part of havin' a bike don't ya know?
Making it as you want it....

They didn't have one for the left side of my Heritage so I bought what was available and made it fit. Had to do some drilling on the box and the bracket but it worked. Funny that I didn't see your post about the toolbox yesterday or I would have commented then. I think I was too worried about Phisguys comment about giving out personal info like my name. I'm thinking about changing my name now because I've given it out to tens of thousands of people over the years. Had them on my 99 Heritage also and loved the look. Fills the empty spaces.
