ha ha ha ha TX is like its own country with fire arms... only place i have ever been where EVERYONE just has a gun... i was amazed!

 

You and your girlfriend can start by documenting these actions of the neighbor. Keep a diary and note the date, time, etc. of any threatening or overly aggressive behavior. Next time he comes on to your property, warn him to leave or face trespassing charges. Don't hesitate to contact your local law enforcement. Former cop or not, this guy has no right whatsoever to harass or intimidate you or yours.

IMO, Don't talk to him at all... just start building your case. Every time something happens get a police report. When #$% does hit the fan you have a documented history of what this idiot has done. Someone who is brazen enough to walk in the door of a neighbor's house without permission is not going to listen to idle "stay our or else..." just go straight to the or else. LEGALLy.

 

The way you wrote it sounds like he walks into her house without permission on a regular basis.

He sounds rather predictable......set him up so he comes into your ol lady's house when you are there and beat him.

 

This is pissing me off as I read it. You should wait in your GF's house till unlawfully enters and beat him till he can't walk. You were just protecting your girlfriend and yourself when this entruder came into the house.

As everyone else has said, If i or my family members werent home and I seen someone in the house I didnt know you best believe something will be happening to that guy..On the other hand if he comes in while my g/f is alone and she called me about it I'd be at the house in a blink of an eye and over to the guys house to give him a piece of my mind..As for shooting groundhogs, writing up would be a nice idea, but next time what about taking a video of him doing it??? Physical evidence from a video is always a good idea in my mind, and before you tape it just say the date/time etc etc

 

Don't know where you're from, but walking into someone else's house uninvited don't wash in FL. It's a good way to get dead.
Have a nice conversation with him.................with no witnesses.
