Helmet Lock

RE: Helmet Lock
I bought those HD locks that attach to the frame - actually have never used them though. I just hang the lid off the grip and leave it - never had a problem. If they really want it, they'll get it. I'd just rather them not f**k up the bike for the sake of a lid.

ORIGINAL: Camera108
I put Ky IsoGrips on each bike (02 Dynsa, 05 Sportster, 06 Street Glide). On the Dyna & Sporty, I put "bar-enders"
which are keys for both sides, On the SG I put a new end lock made just for IsoGrips. Found them at both EBay and
Eastern Performance (Maryland near me). Both work great.

The customer service was GREAT and the helmet locks are VERY nice!

RE: Helmet Lock
I wouldn't steal a helmet that doesn't protect all of my head...Just some thoughts. Everyone I know 'who wears a half helmet just hangs it on the handlebar. They think I'm crazy for locking mine witha cable lock throught the luggage rack and chin guard. But goddamnit, I'm worth it..

My apologies on the "speckles" that are in most of the pics. The camera battery was getting low.

RE: Helmet Lock
There's a groove on the bottom side---you can see it a little in the last photo and best in the stock photo
a couple of posts up above---and then a pin which you open with the key.
The spring-released pin pops out about a 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch. You slip the D-Ring of the helmet into
the grove and then push the pin back in to lock the helmet.
To release you once again use the key to open the pin (be sure and be holding on to the helmet), the
helmet is released; you push the pin fully back into the end of the lock and transform yourself into a
melon-head. :-) Works every time for me.
