One man's junk is another man's treasure. You never know unless you look. You either find what your looking for...or you don't. You definitely don't find it if you don't look.
Wow...that was deep...

They always have EVERYTHING.--- Everything EXCEPT what I am looking for! Fun to go to none the less.

Thats because you might not know what you are looking at. Swap meets are good places to PU OEM parts from years gone by and often, depending if the seller knows what he got, at a great price. That pile of greasy parts laid out over a quilt could hold the missing/broken tranny piece from your 1963 FL. Swap meets are easter egg hunts for the 2 wheeled impaired.

Unless there is paperwork I wouldn't buy a frame or other parts that have VIN #'s stamped on them as it could lead to a legal situation down the road.

Won't know, unless you go! There's one by me twice a year, and last year I sold a bunch of old metric parts that I had laying around for years, and made $600 plus made room in the garage. Picked up a brand new pair of HD grips for $10 the same day.

i had some unexpected success last year when i stumbled across my current pipes i got for less than half of retail. some pros: met another forum member there, so that was cool. other like minded people usually are there with some kickasss bikes, and it's just a cool way to spend some time. i go every so often to the long beach swap meet even if i'm not hunting for a certain part.

I thoroughly look forward to the swap meet held bi-annually in charlotte,nc by CBA of NC. Cold brews. Wet t's. Live tunes. Lots of parts and accessories to sift through. Sometimes you find something cool. Sometimes it ends up being just about the ride. Either way, it's worth it.

By the way, the spring swap is coming up on 3/28-29 of 2009. x16 off I-77. Metrolina Expo center. See ya there.

My wife can never figure out why I wanna ride to them sometimes. I always remind her, without the truck, can't really buy much of anything
