Any one ever read this book (link below), not trying to sell it for him but I bought it for the wife in 05 when she was thinking about starting to ride her own bike. Back then, I read it cover to cover (very good). It's going to be raining here this afternoon, and I was going thru the bookcase for something to read, think I'll go thru it again.

I have it. Read it several times and made sure the wife read before learning to ride.

Have it, read it, re-read it. An excellent book, IMHO.

Another happy reader of both books here. I continually find myself looking through them over and over. Always a good refresher.

What kind of stuff does the author write about in this book? I see you can buy a used copy for 10.50. May be worth a look. Thanks.............

Basically, If you don't ride like a moron, he covers stratagies to help you avoid getting killed in traffic, as well as how to handle various road hazards that you are sure to run across and/or need a heads up about from a guy who has many miles under his butt. However, if you do ride like a moron he also covers stratagies for high speed cornering and braking at the edge of the traction envelope. It is overall a good read, but if you are a harley zealot and wear the "uniform" you may get offended by some of his comments.
