Default Please help, Kuryakyn Gas cap assembly

I am getting a small leak from my Kuryakyn gas cap assempbly and tried to remove the assembly and of course, had two screw dissappear. I am calling Kuryakyn to try to figure out the size, although I don't believe it's more than cosmetic and don't think water can get into the tank, right?

Lastly , has anyone removed the assembly? I am under the impression it screws off but have no idea how to unscrew it without damaging the tank.

I sincerely appreciate any help.

Did a little more searching and it turns out you remove 2 screws and there are 2 brass installation pins that go in and a screwdriver removes the housing.

Thanks anyway!!!

What do you mean "had two screws disappear"?

like an idiot, I had the gas cap off and one went in the tank, and the other into the frame, which I later found, which brings up another question; will the small chromed flat head cap screw mess up anything?

It will either just stay in the tank or get caught at the fuel filter. I don't think it can get past the filter and into the intake. If you enjoy working on your bike, you could drain the tank and remove it and shake the screw out of the tank through the filler hole. Or it might come out the fuel line hole after you drain and remove the filter. You need to buy a service manual.
