Default Best battery?

I'm looking to replace the dead battery in my superglide - what's the best brand/type out there to get in terms of longevity? I don't mind paying a premium for one that's decent.

The Harley ones are fine. Just get a battery tender. My '08 had a dead battery as well a few weeks ago. Everybody told me to get a tender. It extends the life of the battery for years, and uses very little electricity.

Get the Harley one. No maintenance sealed gel and lasts damn near forever. What happened with yours? If your bike is an 09 your battery should be covered under warranty. My last two HD batteries have lasted an average of seven years with no maintenance, no battery tender, no charging, etc.

I had mine on a tender - only lasted 4 months. Thanks, but I'd rather not waste the time with another harley battery after that.

What happened? Friend flipped the light on overnight when he went down to look at something, and now it won't hold a charge - I've had it on a charger and a trickle charger for over 12 hours and it still won't hold any power. It was only on for a night, and then I threw it on the charger the next day, and no joy - one discharge and its dead.

Not IMO. They are top quality sealed AGM technology.
