I use to fill up at the local gas station until my dealer told me if I didn't use genuine Harley air it would void my warranty. Now I travel 40 miles each way to have my tires checked for the proper pressure.

Nitrogen molecule's are larger then that of ambient air so by using nitrogen in tires it greatly reduces leak down of pressure. That’s why they use it in racing and off road tires. That’s what I learned from Trucks on Spike TV and Im sticken to it.

Hey! Commercial truck drivers have been using propane gas for years in their tires. Use that in your bike and it could give a whole new meaning to the term "Hot Bike". .................BC

Nitrogen is drier than shop air, plain and simple. It is still a fluid and will still vary with temperatures. Airplanes use it because of that. I imagine the dragsters do as well, never heard of that though. I have nitrogen available at the hangar and will use it if the shop's compressor isn't fully charged. I have no problems using either. You are still going to get nitrogen out of shop air, but you will also get about 20% oxygen and less than 1% trace gases like argon, etc. You may also get moisture and oil from a compressor which is why they may not like it. I would not pay to get nitrogen.
