Thanks for the replies. I never imagined a dishwash sponge would cause so much damage... I'm not obsessed with show-bike clean, though I do keep it nice. These scratches are killing me...

 

I'd be upset too. Give it some time and they may grow on you If it keeps eating at you can always sell them on ebay and get yourself some shiney new ones.

Any chance you could switch them top to bottom so they aren't as noticible?

Don't think you can buy one slipon. Had one damaged from an accident and the insurance company put a new set on for me.
