Helmet hair is the price to pay for playing in the wind.
What DOES work: I swiped my Buff Headgear from my cross county ski stuff and it works like a charm. They can be worn in mutiple ways depending if you are wearing it for hot or cold; just trying to keep the hair up and away, or for warming your neck. They come in tons of colours and prints, and cost about $20

Hummmm
Kinda funny how many guys seem to know a little to much about ladies hair styles.
I gota say, there is just something about a girl on a bike....... I don't care what their hair looks like when they take off the helmet, well....there are always a few exceptions, but very few.

i taught the hubby how to braid my hair....that seems to help. also wear a do-rag and always keep a cap on the bike for me. but the way i see it, if im on the bike, im not goin anywhere to try to look good...well, except for church...then i put it in a loose pony tail and tuck it in my shirt then just give it a good brushin when we get there.

I'd like to hijack this thread for one moment and tell monstead that she's got my bike (well in the future anyway, hopefully).
My wife and I went out looking at the new Harleys and the hands-down winner for both of us was that Road King Classic in that two-tone Deep Turquoise/Antique White, what a stunner of a bike.
I looked at the various pics of this bike that monstead posted in one of her albums and she sure did pick one heck of a pretty bike, wow. Congrats and enjoy!

Yep, Monstead's got a truly schweet RK. Thanks for the link to the Buffs. I might have to get me one to try. Of course, any Survivor fan has seen how the different contestants wear their buffs, but they're usually not on their heads.
I do ride to work occasionally and since I work at a law firm, my hair needs to be presentable while I'm here so I've learned that braiding it up while it's still wet from the shower allows for the least amount of fly-away hair from my 55 mile commute.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone. I'll pass along the info to the lady.

My hair is pretty short and I always wear a doo-rag. I guess I'm one of the few that it actually looks fairly good on. Although, with a doo-rag on, I don't look like I have hardly any hair. LOL I don't like to wear a ball cap, it just makes me look like a boy.
